No one was more surprised than I to discover the delicious taste of a perfectly deep fried pickle! Pickles - Good. Deep Fried Food - Good. Deep Fried Pickles - HEAVEN!! I would personally love to thank the person who was so bored as to experiment and come up with this wonderful concoction!
The coating for this is got a little bit of kick to it, although it may be toned up or down according to taste. I have tried many iterations of the recipe and here is the one I prefer. Also, I have included the recipe for an awesome dipping sauce!
Deep-fried Pickles
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs
1 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup flour
1/4 grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/4 teaspoon all season spice
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
10 Hamburger Chip pickles
1. Combine milk and egg in a single bowl. Combine bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, and all seasonings in a different bowl. Now with a third bowl, put in your flour.
2. Coat each pickle chip in the flour first, remove excess flour.
3. Dip each floured pickle into the egg mixture followed by the bread crumb mixture.
1. Place on baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 400 degrees Farenheit for around Twenty or so minutes or until golden brown, turning once.
